1978 BMW R 80/7

This 1978 BMW R80/7 has been in storage in a private garage for a few years. The current owner is getting older and unable to ride. He was a truck driver and mechanic and this was his favorite cruiser when not on the road. He performed the majority of all services during his ownership utilizing his mechanic skills and tools.

This is an original paint motorcycle that cleans right up. It needs some TLC attention on the bright work. Working odometer shows only 45,906 miles. This is a real “ran great when parked” motorcycle that is in need of service and a new owner. Original tools and some riding materials will remain with the bike. Clear California Title and registration.

MILEAGE:  45,906 showing on a working odometer.

PAINT:  This is original paint with minimal scratches. The bike was found with a heavy layer of dust where it resided in an enclosed garage. The bike has been washed but not polished.

SHEET METAL:  Sheetmetal is all original and in great shape, well fit. Not sure what the safety barrier is from but it is there!

CHROME:  Original chrome contains surface rust and most will shine right up with never dull.

MECHANICAL:  This bike was running great when parked. It needs a service and should be a good runner. Note that the forks also need refreshing.

WHEELS & TIRES:  Rims are original BMW aluminum with steel spokes.

Front tire 3.25 H 19 not serviceable.

Rear tire is 110/19- H 18 not serviceable.
