Overview

This 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900 is an original paint original bike. It was put in to storage 20 years ago after having the engine fogged with protectant. The bike undergone a good cleaning and a servicing that included a new battery and a new electronic controller. Brakes have been adjusted as has the clutch and the carbs. All lights work and the turn signal audio works. The bike is an easy start. New tires have been installed because the originals were dangerous. This KZ 900 A4 motorcycle has a clear California title. This motorcycle just completed a 100-mile run at Hansen Dam on November 4th without any problems at all. It is ready for the next rider.  If you have never been atop the first-year “Superbike”, you owe it to yourself to try one…SWEET!

Presented for judging at the Dixon AMCA 2019 swap and show, bike presented a JR first with 92.5 points!

This motor 1976 KZ 900 just completed 1500 miles through the summer including a ride up Pikes Peak in Colorado. The bike was just taken in for a complete service and it is road worthy! Receipts available. 

Mileage

38,883 showing on the working odometer. 100 since placed back into service.

Paint

Original Kawasaki Green with gold stripes. Note that the clear coat is flaking on top of the tank. Minor scratches and some fading in other areas should polish right out. This is original paint in good shape and I hesitate to massage it.

Sheet Metal

Sheet metal is in excellent condition and well fit. All original. No dings or dents.

Chrome

Chrome in great shape except for some rust and pitting noted on the rims and spokes.

Mechanical

This motorcycle is in outstanding mechanical condition. It was placed in storage with 38,800 miles on in on a working odometer. It was fogged with a lubricant when shut down to protect from rust. It is freshly tuned with a new battery and a new rectifier. Carbs are in perfect sync and it is ready to run, smooth through the gears. It just completed a 100-mile run with the Los Angeles Norton Club and it was an extreme pleasure to ride it.
This bike just completed 1500 miles including a ride up Pikes Peak and it is in for a full service by an outstanding shop.

Wheels & Tires

Rims are chromed steel with chrome steel spokes and nipples.
Front Tire is Brand new Shinko 100 - 190 - 19
Rear Tire is Brand new Shinko 110 - 90 - 18
