This 1948 Harley Davidson WL was obtained as a basket project from a museum in Southern California in 1998. The parts were taken to a reputable classic motorcycle builder in Canoga Park, CA and he assembled the entire project using the original parts delivered and purchasing what was needed from major HD parts manufactures. The rebuild included a complete engine build and a transmission overhaul. Builds included replacement of all expendable wear parts and bearings throughout. The motorcycle was first broken in at an AMCA road run in Death Valley in 2000 and it has been a trusted ride ever since. The restored motorcycle has approximately 900 miles on it since the restoration. Always garaged and well cared for, this machine is ready for more duty as a local daily rider.
