This fine 1942 Harley-Davidson WL 45 was restored to be a #1 quality rider. After a successful restoration, the owner discovered that it was a difficult ride for the hills of San Francisco which is the home base of the owner. This fine machine starts right off, runs great, and shows even better. It is a 1942 flathead 45. It was completed with a 50 /50 mix of restored and reproduction parts. All work and parts are of great quality. It currently has 170 miles on the rebuild it runs and looks like a brand new vehicle. Every part of it is showroom fresh. The number 1 question at every show is how many hours each week are spent in polishing!
This motorcycle has complete matching numbers on a clean title and is registered in California through Dec 2009. The numbers were issued by DMV, California. “Jay Leno” wouldn’t want it because the numbers do not say 42WL. The case had to be replaced and although it is a HD NOS, the numbers on the case were issued and DMV doesn’t care about exact to the vehicle they care about what next number they have to issue. Other than that it is flawless.
