This is a famous custom build of an Indian motorcycle using a 101 Scout frame and a Chief engine. This motorcycle was built by the famous Roy Burke back in the 90’s and sold to the current owner then. True to Roy Burke’s style, this motorcycle is fast and quick and enjoys some of the Japanese parts available at the time of build.
Mileage since the build is unknown but less than 3,000. The bike has been in storage in San Diego for the past 25 years and ridden very lightly. This Indian Chout was just tuned by Johnny Eagles and it is road worthy.
Unknown mileage since the build, less than 3,000.
The majority of the paint is original, including the tanks. Paint has not been polished or cleaned in a long time and would be expected to take a nice polish. Minimal scratches evident in the sheet metal but the frame is original patina.
Sheet metal is a mix of original 101 fenders and Sport Scout tanks. Tanks are road worthy. Minimal dings, no dents noted.
Minimal chrome on this machine. Existing chrome will take a good cleaning.
This motorcycle is in good mechanical condition. It has good compression. The engine is a 1945 Chief and tranny that were built by Roy Burke, who knew his craft. The engine was just tuned by Johnny Eagles and it is a first-kick machine.
Rims are painted steel with painted spokes and nipples. Paint is old and flaking.
