Overview

1930 Indian 101 Privateer Hillclimber.

101 frame with some extra torch work to lighten and strengthen.

1936 standard scout BY motor. Mismatched cylinders, one square and one not.

Heads have been shaved and the front cylinder fins have been shaved.

We bought this as a non running bike about 6 months ago. We got the bike into the shop and rebuilt the carb after we found the float was junk. We cleaned the gas tank and fuel filter. It came to us with no oil in it for transport so we took off the sump to be safe and cleaned it up and put it back on with a new gasket.

We filled the bike with oil, checked the points and it cranked on the second kick.

We set up the carb and took it down the road and she runs like a rocket.

So much fun to ride. It only has high gear for racing but boy does she go.

It does have mismatched cylinders.

Now the limited history, the previous owner had it for 15 years or so.

It came from a swap meet in central California. It was laying in a pile of frames.

The old man selling it said it was raced in 50s and 60s in central California.

Beyond that I do not know much more.
