This 1927 Sunbeam Motorcycle is from the Frank Culver collection. This is a late ’27 production that appears to also have some of the ’28 year design incorporated. In those days clean model transitions from year to year were not made. It is a 347 cc side valve which we believe makes it a Model 8. It was sold by Ron Farthing Motorcycles in England to a buyer in Washington State, USA, in October 1987. The current owner purchased it from him in 2000.
The motorcycle has been stored in a climate controlled shop and has been barley used. It has a clean California title on a non op registration. Numbering indicates a factory original motorcycle assembly. The bike is in need of a cleaning and polish to be brought back to concourse condition.
