1950 Indian Chief
This 1950 Indian Chief is an 80-inch specimen built at the end of the second series of builds in 1950. Indian changed their numbering system mid-year, therefore this is a second series numbered bike. At the number C-2441 the bikes all went to the PDNYC. It is unknown what the last number for civilian use was issued. This is number C-2405 so it is one of the last civilian bikes built in 1950.
This Indian Chief has been in possession of this family since the early 80’s. It was a freshly restored bike at the time. The bike had the transmission rebuilt in 2015 by Kiwi.
Limited use since then because of health, this bike has been indoors in a garage since. The bike is in need of a service to be a rider, it was running when parked. The bike has an Iowa Title and Registration.
