1936 Crocker Hemi Head #6

This 1936 Crocker motorcycle is a factory original Hemi Head motorcycle. This bike is listed in the Crocker Registry, first and second edition. This motorcycle retains most of its original parts in a restored state with the use of cloned parts where necessary because of the scarcity of parts available.

Lineage:  The interior of one of the engine cases is stamped J. Payne which is believed to be the name of the original owner in 1936.  J. Payne was a famous Hollywood actor. This machine is traced back to ownership of Ray Aho, Billy Litt, and Patrick James all from the Central Valley of California area which was home to major flat track racing.

Restoration:  Former owner Patrick James started the restoration when he acquired the bike from Billy Litt around 2004, and was successful in getting the majority of this restoration completed including engine rebuild and tranny rebuild. The current owner placed the bike with Richard Morris to complete some of the restoration work. Work was also performed by Dawes Waffer, and Johnny Eagles, both famous Crocker machinists and mechanics.
