Overview

This 1913 Indian Twin Cylinder Motorcycle was found in Fresno California in the middle 1980’s. The bike was in original paint, poor patina with a rusted out gas tank. The owner was in the process of making a new tank. He sold the project to next owner who faux painted over the original paint to prevent from rust. This motorcycle was purchased by the current owner in 2014 as a rolling basket with a fresh motor and a fresh mag (not). The bike was gone over from head to toe and it now includes a new engine by Johnny Eagles and a fresh, hot Dixie mag from the same. This machine is a runner and needs to be fine-tuned by the next curator.

Mileage

Zero miles on the new motor.

Paint

This motorcycle has been repainted with a faux paint application that passes well for an old repaint.

Sheet Metal

Sheet metal is original and correctly fitted except for the tank which is an excellent reproduction custom built from panels salvaged from the original tank.

Chrome

All shiny stuff on this machine is nickel.

Mechanical

This engine was rebuilt by Johnny Eagles in January of 2015. It is solid and correct. It is in need of a correct run in. The carburetor is a Schebler H-2 designed to allow this motorcycle to run. Final tinkering is needed. The motorcycle will be road tested prior to shipping.

Wheels & Tires

Tires are Firestone reproductions. They are the correct size 300 X 3 on apparently original clincher rims with solid spokes.
