This original patina painted 1943 Harley Davidson U model Bobber is a great bike! Found as a basket back in the 80’s, the current owner put it up for a future project and the time has come. This 1943 Harley U is a 74-inch medium compression engine with a 4 speed transmission. Engine rebuilt by Bobby at Modesto HD, an old timer proficient in Harley Davidson engines! This is a fresh build with only a few hundred miles on it and correctly broken in. Original Harley speedometer shows 24,267 miles. This motorcycle is smooth and clean through the gears and is an easy start with the add-on 12-volt electric start!
The clean California Bobber look is advanced by the use of original Harley Davidson parts, a great Faux paint patina, and clean 16 inch Harley wheels. This 1943 Harley Davidson has a clean California title and current registration. It is ready for the road and show!
MILEAGE: 24,267 showing on a working odometer. 300 miles believed to be on the rebuild.
PAINT: Newly prepped and painted, the faux paint is original looking patina of the correct color for the year with a painted frame in original patina look.
SHEET METAL: Original Harley Davidson sheet metal in excellent shape, minimal dings or dents. Frame is unmolested and the tanks are clean.
CHROME: No Chrome on this bike. Correct plating on special parts as delivered from the factory.
MECHANICAL: Professionally rebuilt power train by Bobby at Modesto HD. Bike is set up with a 12-volt system change over to support the electric starter. The electric starter is a proven W & W from Germany with a new Lithium battery for consistent power. A M-51 Carb is installed for enhanced performance. Bike has about 455 break-in miles and has just undergone a 500-mile service. This 1943 Harley Bobber is set up for the future of fun Go and Show!
WHEELS & TIRES: Harley Davidson Kelsey Hayes rims painted black with Cadmium plated spokes and nipples.
Front tire is new Coker Firestone 500 X 16.
Rear tire is new Colker Firestone 500 X 16.
