1927 HARLEY DAVIDSON JD BOBBER
This is a custom built, 1927 Harley Davidson JD Bobber. This custom Bobber was built in the early 90’s to be a faithful rider in the West Coast AMCA Road Runs and that it was! The original 1927 Harley JD was customized by an elderly gearhead, car builder, for his personal enjoyment. The engine was built by a knowledgeable Harley JD builder, and it is stout! This Bobber has been in controlled storage for the last 20 years or so and is now offered for sale from the original owner’s family. This motorcycle famously completed many Borrego Springs Winter Road Runs and the Death Vally Road Run in the mid 1990’s. This bike has undergone a complete service and is ready for the next ride. A complete detail would assist it for the next show!
MILEAGE: Unknown Mileage on this build, but less than 2000.
PAINT: Nicely painted during the original build with some storage scratches. Paint will shine right up with good detail.
SHEET METAL: Sheetmetal is in excellent shape with a few storage scratches, no dings or dents noticed. Tank is clean and in good shape.
CHROME: Some chrome in great shape.
MECHANICAL: This was a great running machine when put in storage 20 years ago. It has recently been serviced and brought back to life. The tuner stated, this is a great running bike! This is a 74 inch, 1207 cc, 18hp engine, that was built up by a knowledgeable, Vintage Harley builder in the Pacific Northwest. 6 volt system, 3 speed transmission.
WHEELS & TIRES: Painted Steel rims with Stainless spokes and nipples.
Front tire is 400 X 18 Coker.
Rear tire is 450 X 18 Coker.
