1958 BMW R 69 With Steib Sidecar
This is a classic and exquisite BMW R 69 motorcycle with a Steib sidecar of the same age. This beautiful assembly was a restoration project about 7 years ago and it is in excellent condition. The engine has limited mileage since the restoration, as it was sold to the current owner by the restorer to pay college tuition for his daughter.
This great machine runs well and handles nicely with the beautiful Steib car attached. Check out the car with its own enclosure for inclement weather touring. This set-up runs and handles nicely. There is a set of handlebars and springs to be used for riding without the side car.
This BMW R 69 is complete with tool kit, and it is Titled in California and has a current registration.

Mileage: 66,353 showing on a working clock
Paint: Paint is in excellent condition, minimal scratches noted, takes a great shine.
Sheet Metal: Sheet metal is in excellent condition, factory original, and well fit. No dings or dents noted.
Tires and Rims:
Rims are Spun Aluminum with coated steel spokes and nipples.
Front Tire is Dunlop Gold Seal 3.50 X 18
Rear Tire is Continental 400 X 18
Mechanical: This motorcycle is in excellent mechanical condition. It was a bit sluggish when acquired but the current owner recognized the problem . He found the wrong plug wires and plugs in use which he immediately changed out and the engine cleaned right up. Carb was cleaned and full lube accomplished. The bike starts right up and is smooth through the gears. The magneto and timing cover have been changed out to the less troublesome R69S type for greater reliability.
