Overview

This 1940 Motorcycle is a custom from the word “GO”, Indian Chief Bobber! It was created for show by a famous builder and featured in two magazines in 1998. It was awarded “Top Bike” at the Indian block party in Rapid City in 1998 as well as “Top Bike” in August of 1998 at Broken Spoke in Sturgis. The current owner has many rides and this is one of his favorites with over 6,333 miles on the odometer

Current owner has put 2,500 miles on this bike since purchasing it. This is a solid ride.  This owner is a rider and this is not his only ride;  he likes  this ride. The bike is always garaged and always polished and tuned. It is time for a new owner to enjoy the kicks provided by this bike along with the looks!

This 93-inch Indian beast is built to run and enjoy with 12-volt system, electric start, compression release in both heads for longevity on the system. The custom paint, custom exhaust, powder-coated wheels, and stainless spokes  just add to the candy pile! The carb has been rebuilt to handle the flow demand and the radical cams were removed and replaced with Bonneville’s.

The 1940 Indian Chief frame, with the sprung front end, is an excellent presentation of Indian’s finest and the 1948 engine is stroked and blueprinted for maximum consistent go. Did you know that a 1940 Indian Chief has the frame number (VIN) stamped on the left rear shock tower? Interesting piece of Indian history.
