1958 Harley-Davidson XLH 883 Sportster
Overview
This is a classic iron “jug” or iron “head” 1958 Harley-Davidson XLH 883 Sportster Motorcycle.
This choice Harley-Davidson has been restored to original condition by a recognized craftsman, The Vanishing American in upstate New York.
Mileage
Acquired the original motorcycle unassembled with no original speedometer. Rebuilt motor and tranny have less than 10 miles on them.
Paint
New paint job-Black frame and Harley Orange gas tank and fenders. Frame, fenders and tank are pristine. The tank was reconditioned when it was painted. Restoration decals were put on the tank.
Sheet Metal
Excellent with no dings.
Chrome
Reconditioned original in great shape.
Mechanical
Completely rebuilt motor and tranny. Runs great and is very reliable. New brakes, cables etc. Must note that this is a kick start only bike and has a vacuum advance to assist in starting.
Wheels & Tires
New tires and reconditioned wheels with spokes.
Title
Correct VA title, paperwork, and license.
Nada
Restored to original motorcycle that shows no signs of wear. All systems are fully operational and the machine is not in need of repairs.
Accessories
New Tool Kit.
